Become a Beekeeper –
Come to Bee School 2018!

Choose a Class:

Tuesday Night Classes
o These classes will run for 6 consecutive weeks from January 30 through March 6
o Classes will run from 7 pm to 9 pm
o Must have a minimum of five students enrolled

OR the Weekend Class
o This class will run on two Saturdays, February 3rd AND February 17 (this is a single two-day class)
o Class will be from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm with breaks built in
o Must have a minimum of five students enrolled

• Mentor Program
o Students will be offered the opportunity to be paired with an experienced mentor as they set up and begin to care for their own hives

• Field Days
o There will be one or more field days scheduled (as weather allows) where students will be able to learn and work in a hive

• Returning Students
o Students who are current members of the Hoke County Beekeepers and who have already paid tuition in the past to take a Hoke County bee school (in a previous year) are welcome to attend the 2018 bee school at no charge. However, seating priority will be given to new students

• Cost: $40

P.O. Box 1394, Raeford, NC 28376. Please make check payable to: Hoke County Beekeepers
o The cost of the class covers membership in the Hoke County Beekeepers club, membership in the North Carolina State Beekeepers Association, your textbook, and other associated class materials.

Classes will be held at the Hoke County Cooperative Extension, 116 W. Prospect Avenue, Raeford, NC 28376
